City Centre Visioning Workshop

On Thursday 29th January, a group of our Year 7, 8 and 9 students took part in the Peterborough City Centre Visioning Workshop, delivered by E.C.F. (Engage Communicate Facilitate) on behalf of Peterborough City Council.
Students explored the future of Peterborough city centre, focusing on sustainability, safety, and how to make it more attractive to both local residents and visitors, while strengthening its role as a multicultural community space.
They shared some fantastic ideas, including:
Dedicated smoking areas
Increased police presence
More family-friendly restaurants with healthy menus
A dedicated art and graffiti wall
Drinking water refill stations
Smart benches with seasonal flowers
Sustainable lighting for alleyways and key areas
We are extremely proud of our students’ creativity, confidence and teamwork. It was wonderful to see them collaborating, listening to each other and contributing thoughtfully to discussions about the future of their city.
A brilliant opportunity for our young people to have their voices heard and help shape what comes next. ![]()
