Students at Manor Drive Secondary Academy were in for a fantastic surprise this World Book Day when members of staff arrived dressed as their favourite book characters!

From classic favourites to modern stories, the creative costumes sparked plenty of conversations in classrooms and corridors. It was wonderful to see students trying to guess the characters, sharing their favourite books, and talking about the stories that inspire them.

The day was all about celebrating the joy of reading, encouraging curiosity, and showing how books can bring imagination to life. Seeing staff take part in the fun helped spark even more interest in reading and reminded everyone that great stories are for all ages.
